Dysport®
Anti-ageing treatment
Treatments using botulinum neurotoxin (Lift uses abobotulinumtoxinA) is one of the most cost-effective options in the aesthetics industry.
It is an acetylcholine release inhibitor and a neuromuscular blocking agent on the muscles treated.
Resulting to temporary muscle relaxation and atrophy (slimming). Hence, choosing the right provider is key in achieving great aesthetic results.
We use TGA-approved botulinum toxin type A ant Lift Aesthetics Sydney. All botulinum toxins have the same mechanism of action: blocking the release of acetylcholine and preventing the muscles from contracting to maintain the aesthetic effect. Using the right doses and injection techniques are key to achieving your aesthetic goals.
It temporarily prevents specific muscle movements that cause frown lines, forehead lines, wrinkles around the eyes (also known as ‘crow’s feet’ lines), axillary hyperhidrosis, platysmal bands, and medically indicated for migraines and upper limb muscle spasticity.
It works by blocking the release of membrane-bound acetylcholine transmitter at the neuromuscular endplate resulting in temporary paralysis of the affected muscle.
The most common side effects are generalised weakness, eyelid drooping, fatigue (tiredness and/or asthenia), ‘flu-like’ symptoms, pain, bruising, swelling, and reddening at injection site.
Less commonly, it may cause itching.
Rarely, skin rashes, including rashes at the injection site, and muscle weakness maybe experienced.
